David Jesus Romero

David Jesus Romero, 37, passed away on March 22, 2024, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born on August 13, 1986, in Alamogordo, New Mexico to David Romero and Tresa Gutierrez.

JD was a free spirit who loved the outdoors and spending time with friends and family. He had a kind heart and a contagious smile that will be missed.

Survivors include his father, David Romero and fiancée, Becky Silva of Alamogordo; his mother, Tresa Gutierrez; his brothers, Augustine Maynez and Danny Gutierrez; his sisters, Tiffany Gonzalez, Veronica Romero, Serena Gutierrez and Katie Silva; his paternal grandparents, Al and Nancy Ball; his aunts, Cher Romero and Melissa Romero; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of Alamogordo.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Romero Sr. and his maternal grandparents, Johnny Gutierrez and Celia Garcia.

He had a very special friendship with Nadia Sikes; Pastor Rich, Hope Hernandez and Judy Canini with Runners Refuge; and Community Connections:  Tarah, Misha, Jennifer, Susan, Kevin, Angela, Kam, and the late Janis Thomas who all loved and cherished him very much.

The viewing will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on April 5, 2024 at Alamogordo Funeral Home, Inc.

The celebration of life will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, April 15, 2024, at Mountain View Assembly with Pastor Anthony Torres and Pastor Rich Hernandez officiating.

The Romero family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the funeral services.
