Dale Nelson Rector

Dale Nelson Rector, 72, passed away in his home in Alamogordo, NM on February 2, 2021.  He was born October 8, 1948 in Whittier, CA to Elizabeth Ruth (Radde) Rector and Ted Fontaine Rector.

As a child and teenager, he lived in California, Arizona, Tennessee, as well as the Philippines and Iran. His father was in the United States Air Force.

Later, Dale joined the Air Force himself and spent ten years serving his country, including two tours in Vietnam. He was also stationed in Germany for a time and enjoyed traveling around Europe during his free time.  He later worked for Northrop Grumman Corporation and lived in Sudan. Dale moved to Alamogordo in the late 1980s and worked at Holloman Air Force Base as an avionics technician until he retired in 2020.

Dale enjoyed playing and watching golf on TV and in-person.  He loved to travel and to spend time with his daughter. 

He is survived by his daughter, Natalie Rector; his former wife, Shadia Elamin; his brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Yvonne Rector; his sister, Joan Bailey; his nieces, Jennifer Pope, Mishell Andrews, and Laurie Rector; and his nephews, Bryan Rector, Andrew Rector, and Randal Pope.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jeff and Doug Rector.
