Darrell Catt was called to his eternal home by his heavenly father on the evening of June 3, 2021. His family was by his side, holding his hand and praying for a painless journey home.
He was born in Carrizozo on July 31, 1954 to William D. and Pauline Catt. He spent a very short time in Indiana and lived out the remainder of his life in Tularosa.
He loved his family, the outdoors, and sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. He played little league baseball, high school football and basketball, American Legion baseball and was a member of the Tularosa Men’s Softball team. The places he traveled with the softball team were some of his greatest adventures and he came to think of them as his brothers.
He is survived by his son, Michael of Albuquerque; his mother, Pauline Addison of Tularosa along with his brother, Ron Catt; sisters, Donna Ringener and Marian Wohlgemuth, also of Tularosa and Lynette Catt of Alamogordo. He was also loved my many cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service held at the Fairview Cemetery in Tularosa on Thursday, June 10 at 10:00 am.
The family will welcome visitors at 1617 West Second after the service, beginning at noon at the home he shared with his mother.
The Catt family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the services.
