Eunice Marie Bohannon

Marie Ratcliff Bohannon passed away peacefully in the grace of her Savior, the Lord Jesus, on February 10th, 2021. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James Bohannon.

Marie was the youngest of 9 children who affectionately called her "Baby Girl," They all preceded her in death. Born in Mangham, LA and raised on the family farm, after WWII, Marie moved to Carlsbad, NM to live near two of her sisters.

Soon she had a job at an ice cream shop where the lovely young woman met the handsome Navy veteran, Jim Bohannon.  For their honeymoon, the couple stayed in the French Quarter of New Orleans. 

Marie and Jim loved gardening and sharing the bounty of fruit and vegetables with family, friends and church members.

Marie is survived by her three children; Sue Nichols(Bob) of La Luz, NM, Randy Bohannon(Marcia) of Conifer, CO and Cindy Schneider(Ron) of Denver, CO. As well as her beloved grandchildren, and many grand-nieces and nephews. Marie was deeply loved and will be missed dearly. 

The Bohannon family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the funeral services.
