Glynn Gene Denney, 63

Glynn Gene Denney, known as “Friz” passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at his home in Boles Acres, New Mexico.  Friz was born on July 18, 1959 in Richmond, Kentucky to Chester and Margaret Corden Denney. He lived in Kentucky however, when his parents divorced, he moved to New Mexico, with his father, as he was stationed at Holloman AFB.  In 1979, he joined the US Army and was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas. He later went to Korea, where he met his now ex-wife, Hana.  They were married and had two sons, James and Michael. After returning to the United States, Friz left the Army and moved out of state working in Kansas and Colorado in construction as a tradesman. After many years, he returned to Alamogordo where he has lived for the past 17 years, happy to be home with his New Mexico family.

Friz had several hobbies including building model cars and trains, working on project cars and trucks, and caring for his yard, but his favorite hobby of all was Nascar. He loved his Nascar races, watching them with his brother and buddies, drinking cold beer and telling stories in the shop.

His family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his son Michael and daughter in law, Desiree, and his grandchildren, Carina, Jayden, Layla and Matthias Denney.  Other survivors include his sisters, Karen (Danny)Miller of Sulfur Kentucky, Mary (Mike) Howell of Alamogordo, and Cassandra Milner of Flora Illinois, His brothers, Mark (Pat) Denney of Alamogordo, James (Kerrie)Bradford of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, John (Debbie) Wagner of Phoenix AZ and brother-in-law, Ralph Arnett of Albuquerque NM, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
