Mittie Francis Wright Memorial Announcement

Mittie Francis Wright, 97, died peacefully in her home, in Alamogordo, NM on Sunday evening of March 15, 2020.  Mittie was born April 17, 1922, in Glenn Rose, Texas, to Porter & Melvina Allard, she had 5 sisters & 1 brother and as a child, she played in dinosaur footprints discovered in the nearby area.

Mittie is survived by a son, Kent Wright of Alamogordo, NM & a daughter, Shara Fambrough of Scottsdale, AZ.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Wright in 1994, and son Eric Wright, in 1990. Mittie will be entombed alongside them in the family crypt site at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, AZ.

Mittie was especially proud of her long career in Civil Service, as an Executive Secretary at Holloman AFB, from where she retired.  She enjoyed dancing, traveling, especially her European tour, of which she reminisced often, expressing a desire to return there some day.  She loved her family & friends and they loved her in return.  Mittie had a strong faith in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection. "I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."  Acts 24:15

She will be missed beyond words.

It is greatly appreciated & so strengthening.  Your comforting words, cards, flowers, & expressions of condolences made the heavy load more bearable, by your sharing it with us.   We are deeply grateful and will remember your kindness & thoughtfulness always.
